PIT Closed Beta Terms of Use
These terms govern access to the PIT closed beta provided by 1412 Labs, LLC. By using the closed beta, you agree to these terms.
Closed-beta service
PIT evaluates available technical evidence associated with an image. The beta may change, be interrupted, contain errors, or be withdrawn. Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated to protect users, the service, or the integrity of testing.
Your authority and responsibilities
- You must have authority to submit each image and must comply with privacy, intellectual-property, employment, education, and other applicable requirements.
- Do not submit unlawful material, malware, highly sensitive information unnecessary for testing, or images when analysis would violate another person's rights.
- Protect your account and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
- Do not evade limits, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization, reverse engineer protected service components, or interfere with other users.
Analysis is evidence-limited
PIT reports what available technical evidence can support. It does not guarantee that an image is real, fake, truthful, deceptive, AI-generated, or unaltered. Missing evidence is not proof of authenticity or non-use of generative AI. Review the Analysis Limitations.
No professional or sole-source reliance
PIT is not legal, forensic, investigative, journalistic, medical, insurance, employment, educational, or financial advice. Do not use PIT as the sole basis for a consequential decision about a person, claim, event, investigation, or legal matter. Qualified human review and additional evidence may be required.
Ownership and feedback
1412 Labs, LLC and its licensors retain rights in PIT, its software, methods, branding, and documentation. You retain rights you hold in submitted material. You may provide feedback; 1412 Labs, LLC may use non-confidential feedback to improve PIT without an obligation to compensate you.
Beta warranty and liability
The closed beta is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. 1412 Labs, LLC disclaims implied warranties to the extent permitted by law and is not responsible for decisions made from an evidence-limited result. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed remain unaffected.
Changes and governing terms
These terms may be updated as the beta evolves. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Any separate written beta agreement controls if it conflicts with these online terms.
Do not use the closed beta for emergency decisions or as a substitute for preserving an original file and obtaining qualified review.
